We have recently taken over a number of rental properties from another local agent. I now understand what this client meant when they came to me saying there was lack of communication from their agent. We were waiting on return calls from the agent to confirm the takeover date; with our constant persistence this takeover date was confirmed. When takeover came around we tried to contact the agent to arrange a collection time, the claimed they knew nothing about the takeover. Again with our constant persistence they remembered the takeover, however it took 3 days for them to organise the collection documents. I can understand why these clients become so frustrated with their agent, they are paying for a Property Management service and they are not even receiving a return phone call. This is very disappointing to hear that this happens in our industry.
